4-20 mA Output

why sensor ' s have only 4-20 mA Output ?

i can tell u two different answers for this question..

1) all controller have an internal resistance of 250 ohms, which accepts voltage of 1 to 5 v, so correspondingly 4ma converts into 1v and 20ma converts into 5v.

2) 4 to 20 ma signals are considered to be linear with 3 to 15 psi out...

I hope you have read the link given in above post. Actually 4-20ma is a standard signal system and Tranmitters/Transducers have this type of current output, not sensors. Sensors have their own type of output depending of the type of sensor.
