Where can one buy this security device?

Don't laugh, I only recently upgraded from a bicycle.

Easy... you don't even need to pay for it. Start by installing the already owned chain in the vehicle. Then, look for a tree that has been planted but in a heigh you are still able to put the chain around. Park the vehicle nearby, install the chain around the tree and wait something like 10 years so the tree may grow up. Add some water from time to time if the weather is dry, and your system is set.

Oh! Silly Goose. That takes too long.

Find suitable tree, and then cut the chain and lock , or weld, the truck to the tree. Much quicker!

Otherwise, ride the bike, it's cheaper than cutting the chain each time you want to go somewhere.

Hardware stores sell them custom.

I bought a 6-8 foot cable with two eyes and plastic coated for my bike at CENTURYCYCLES. A little heavy to carry but with kryptonite lock a pretty good way to assure bike and wheels are there when i get back.

I don't believe he's talking about the chain, but the sign made of Plastique welded to the hood. It says if you move this vehicle it will self destruct!

Actually Guest has not replied. Perhaps he was referring to people stealing his trees and not the car?
