A new start-up company, Trivalent Tester LLC has recently introduced a 2-drop test kit to detect the presence of Type II Trivalent Chromium on aluminum substrate. Results in approximately 30 seconds. Information available at trivalenttester.com...
That's interesting. What the market really wants to detect however, is hexavalent chrome, since it is banned. Preseence of trivalent is now assumed. why test?
Do you have a hexavalent tester product?

Since trivalent coating is clear, you can not tell if there is a coating, or whether the supplier 'forgot' to get it coated. This test would show that there is a coating. Then a second test still needs to be done to show that there is no hexavalent chrome. www.leadcheck.com has a hexavalent test.
