Power Plant That Uses Garbage to Create Power

been thinking of a great sort of power plant that could if there was some use for it can use the stinky gas and rotten rubbish to create power . it could work there would be more then enough rubbish in a town or city to run one and anthor bonus is it will stop all the landfills filling up

Such power plants do exist. Check out this short article about biomass for an introduction.

There's one adjacent to the North Circular Road (A406) in Walthamstow. There are many others.

Chicken droppings are the next thing in microgeneration!

Too late, I actually worked for one in Portugal, Household Garbage is burn´t in a boiler to produce sream to drive turbines..... in some countries the hot water from the boiler is used to warm up nearby houses (Central heating).
