Linear and Equal Percent Control Valve Application

Could anyone help me out how to select control valve characteris Linear or Equal percent.

Hi there,

This is not so simple to answer. To truly select the correct control valve characteristic - you need to know the process gain.

As a rule of thumb:

You would use a =% chracteristic on the following process': pressure control

Linear: Level control and flow control.
