Boiler Water Flow Rate

Hi all, Can you pls help me find the water make up flow rate for a 30,000 lb/hr steam boiler that has 30% condensate return? Thanks!

It depends upon the blowdown rate, which depends upon the feedwater total dissolved solids and the blowdown total dissolved solids setpoint. Without these, the calculation cannot be done.

Further, the 30,000lb/h is a maximum figure. In reality, the controls on the boiler will be modulating the feedwater rate and the firing rate to maintain steam pressure, and these things will fluctuate with demand.
