dear,

earth free faults can not be told as earth faults !

ac drives, whenever there is a power device failure, earth faultt current flows.

method is same as standard calculations in electrical engineering. But, high speed fuses if kept in the circuits, that limits the earth faults / short circuits. Basically it is the arcing energy that matters. by reducung the arcing energy with high speed semiconductor fuses, other power devices may be saved.

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

the earth current is restricted to only 200 to 300 mA even if we directly connect any of out phase of AC traction drive to earth, i will forward drawing of the drive if u want,

Thanks & Regards
