HELLO EVERY ONE

I HAVE 57 TONES OF AIR CONDITIONER (A/C) ,NOW I WANT TO ASK IF I USE THIS ALL A/C FOR 10 HOURS ,HOW MUCH KWH CONSUMED ,THANKS

There is bound to be an electrical rating on the AC. From the TPH it is not possible to calculate the KW consumed.

It depends on the

- Efficiency (now being denoted by the mandatory star ratings)

- The Ambient temperature.

- The Insulations.

- The Set temperature.

And the consumption is going to vary across seasons. In the worst case scenario, get the electrical KW x 10 Hrs is the unit consumed per day (?)

A rough approximation:

Using the rule of thumb: 1.25 KW per Ton,

Energy Used = 57 x 1.25 x 10 = 712 KWH

Again, this is just an approximation, the actual consumption depends on many other factors as other participant indicated.

hi mr.dineshpandit

we can calculate by using the below formula

watts*3.4=BTU

1 ton = 12000BTU

57 ton = 684000BTU

watts = 684000/3.4

watts = 201176.47

KW = 201.176

kwh(10hours) = 201.176*10 = 2011.176

Uticobala's calculation is ok but it doesn't consider the Performance Factor (K) and that is why it is higher.
