Memory Problems with System Mechanic Professional 9

08/24/2009 8:37 PM

I recently updated my System Mechanic Professional from 8 to 9, in July, 2009. When I had System Mechanic 8 Professional I could recover about 81% RAMS of memory. Now with this new System Mechanic Professional 9, I only can recover 30 to 40% RAMS of memory with and without using the Memory Wizard. How can I improve my memory recovery with this new system. I am not a computer geek, so please explain in understandable terms. Thanks so much for your help.

I've upgraded System Mechanic Pro but can't say that the amount of RAM recovered has changed. I haven't checked the numbers but it seems about the same as before. Perhaps something else in your system is hanging on to the memory.

If you open Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) & go to the 'Processes' tab you can see the memory used by various applications. Click the 'MemUsage' heading to sort by size, you may need to click again to get it to sort in descending order. This should give some clues about what is hogging the memory.
