G'day,

The best suggestion I have is "but a service manual". You'll find this invaluable for you vehicle. Secondly, contact some Citroen clubs and join the one that suits you. Clubs are a fantastic source of assistance. They have usually been there, done that.

Generally speaking, the nearside suspension parts wear out first in most countries, so you should make sure that maybe you don't need to replace both sides......

Lets put it another way, if the nearside was needing to be replaced, I would just replace it. If the offside needed replacement, I would replace both.......you don't want to do all the work again for the other side in say 6 months......

Maybe the middle of the roads where you are are in a worse condition than the sides.....!! Then just replace the offside.....

But I am certainly not infallable......just my 2 cents worth!!

Thanks Andy I am dreading the Job on the Citroen working on the driveway with jacks but your in info has been really helpful I posted a couple of pictures on Joes 06 router just to give an idea of what it may be like when finished but there is so much drawing to be done in the meantime I just want to arrive at a usable chassis at the moment. The least fearful part is the electronics and software.

We can talk about the electronics together sometime if you wish, Magenta UK has a good Stepper Driver PCB for up to 3 amps (adjustable of course!). Kits are around 18 pounds.

We should do this either via email or on the CNC blog....

Best wishes with the car repair....

I wish I could help you, I know on the D Models they just slipped right in. No special tools needed. (I have some CV joints if anyone needs them and some other citroen D parts ). but I'd love to know how you make out. I suggest you purchase a Citroen shop manual. Where are you located? I wish they still imported Citroens to the USA I use to own and even sold them in NYC. ( Did you know the french used a citroen as a mars rover? You didn't? take a look at the enclosed picture. HLG. you can email me at livagain1@yahoo.com
