HEAT LOSS

IN THE FORMULA

Q= M.Cp.T

M= MASS FLOW RATE(KILOGRAM PER SECOND)

Cp= SPECIFIC HEAT (KILO JOULE PER KG DEG C)

T= TEMPERATURE

Q IS IN KW.

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT WILL BE THE VALUE OF MASS FLOW RATE IN GPM

Please turn off Caps Lock. Many readers consider all-capitals to be akin to SHOUTING, and rather rude.

To convert from mass flowrate to volumetric flowrate, divide by the fluid's density.

And remember to use consistent units. If you are converting kilograms per second to gallons per minute, first convert the fluid flow to cubic meters per second using the fluid density at the pressure and temperature in question. Then, convert the cubic meter to gallon and multiply by 60 to obtain the value per minute.

Quite direct and easy convertion. The only thing that could go wrong is obtaining the proper fluid density if its compressible, requiring compensation for press & temp.

thanks alot to all for suggesting me and giving me the right answer. i was wrong in CAPITAL LETTERS so sorry. regarding my degree i have done my masters in mechanical, but the problem was that in some references i foung specific heat of water as 4.2 kj/kg deg c and also 4.2 kj/kg deg k. so i was confused, and thats why asked.
