09/02/2009 11:19 PM

Sir,

I want to do test on hydraulic cylinder, Can anyone help me how i do these following test.

Plz help me.

1. NRV test(As there is one NRV is provided at the end of cylinder where we pressureize the piston to move outward):-In this i want to measure the holding and cracking pressure for NRV.

2.Cylinder friction test:-Measure and note down the static breakway pressure and the dynamic drag pressure under no load conditions.

Plz can anyone help me for these test,HOW I will do this test?IS there is an method to do this test??

Use a hand-operated hydraulic test pump and a calibrated pressure gauge.

Thax for giving reply.

But Sir, how i measure the cracking pressure of NRV i think its to b done by some applying load but, i dont know were i used pressure gauge and how i measure the static breakway pressure and dynamic drag pressure under no load condition.

Place a dial indicator on the end of the rod to note rod movement. Use hand pump to apply pressure with calibrate gauge. Note the pressure rod moves.
