Barely. Please be aware that this is an ENGINEERING forum, not google groups or facebook. You don't have to be an engineer to post here but you do need to use proper netiquette to properly express your questions and answers in an understandable and respectful way.

If in doubt write CR4 posts as you would write emails to your boss.

50Hz + some percentage for the upper and - some percentage for the lower frequency limits.

The specific information is available on either your local Indian electrical regulation authority website (or similar, no I don't have a link), or in the Indian electrical regulations (again I have misplaced my copy).

As an engineer no matter which country you are in, one should be able to know the frequency of the power transmission line. It either 50Hz or 60Hz. Not only to know the the transmission frequency, one should know the voltage of each country, for example, in Thailand the voltage is 110V and 220V. In China the most parts of the China have 110V and 220V and some part of the country do not use 220V and so on...

Well, what you can do is to check some of the electrical appliances in your house or at some of the electrical shop where it has some electrical data specification printed on it.

Take example like a washing machine or a TV set. The packing box of the appliances has some details of the applied voltage, the current consumption and the frequency.

In each country, there is a regulating body to handle all the electrical regulation, where the approved design appliances, with the correct voltage and frequency is allow to be permitted to be import in to the country.

From there you will know the actual frequency of your country. It wont be far from 50Hz or 60 Hz. It would be 50Hz to 55 Hz

World adapt the 60Hz. frenquency in any voltages specially in Asian countries, reason is to satisfy the standard manufacturing requirements such as appliances, motors or similar products.

I'm not from India anyway...To know exactly the electrical system standard in India is to contact the Indian Ministry of Electricity which is a right governing body that runned the electricity business in the country. If you are residing in India, just check your home appliances, there in you can see the electrical data i.e. voltage rating, phase, frequency, amps, etc.
