Ultra-High Molecular Weight Low Temperature Thermoplastic. Similar to nylon and polypropylene in toughness.

If the heating and moulding process is repeatable (in that you can place in boiling water and reshape the material again and again), then some form of thermoplastic polymer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermoplastic

If the heating and moulding process can only be done once, then some form of thermosetting polymer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermosetting_plastic

Obviously the material has a low transition temperature but not too low (in that easily obtainable boiling water will cause it to soften but not body heat during use).

It's slightly rubbery when it hardens though how do you add that property?

Apparently, it's made out of advertising.

its the same stuff that mouthpieces are made out of.

grab a mouthpiece from big5 throw it in boiling water, then into ur mouth and wham bam thank you mam, a mouthpiece that protects you from biting your tounge off and its super comfortable.
