Printing Solids

can anyone tell the technology behind the latest technology in instrumentation...printing out the solids from the computer..that link is not available in net...

This site will explain how it works. I don't see much advantage of this system over sending a code file via the internet to a cnc 3-D machine that costs much less and can handle much larger parts and work much faster.
