Heat Exchanger Outlet Pressure

HI

i have a heat exchanger but the outlet pressure more than inlet by 1kg/cm2????????

can't be, is your gauge branch off the stream, or is the stream in direct line of the gauge?

Only way it could be is if he's referring to different circuits. The outlet pressure on the cold side could be higher than inlet pressure on hot side, or vice versa.

It could be the outlet diameter is smaller than the inlet, might want to check that.

What I like to do in such cases is have one gauge hooked up to both locations. A double inlet single outlet valve will remove any questions about gauge accuracy. It makes a simple hookup, and both readings are taken at the same spot.
