Which Pump is More Efficient?

09/21/2009 11:26 AM

Sir:

May I know which Pump out of the following three is the most efficient for Negitive Suction Application for water supply application from a well ? ( suction lift 3.5 mt to 4.5 mt ).

We may consider Three Phase 415V , 50 HZ , 15HP Pump for 10 Years LCC having 16 hours working ( daily ).

1) Centrifugal Monoblock Pump

2) Submerged Centrifugal Pump

3) Centrifugal Monoset Pump

Which are the key governing factors to be considered while purchasing the most efficient pump for the abovementioned application?

Pl guide.

Each pump will have an efficiency rating from the manufacturer...

A submerged pump would, by definition, have a flooded inlet and NPSH equal to the level of the water above the inlet.

I agree. All else being equal, I would opt for the submerged pump.
