Pipeline Accessories

Hi, I´m wondering what´s the meaning of the "P" in pipeline accesories "WPB".

I know that W=Weldable, B= it is the grade, but P=?

I hope you can help me.

WP weldable pipe or wrought product. B stands for items equivalent to grade B (A 106 Gr B, etc). HY stands for high yield. WPL - weldable pipe or wrought product for low temperature service. F - forging. LF - forging for low temperature service. TP - tubular product. Hope this is a good answer for you!

First two digits:
WP stands for Weldable & made from Pipe
WC stands for Weldable & made from Casting
