why carbon steel get corrosion whether stainless do not get corrode

Repeat after me: Stainless steel does not corrode as easily as carbon steel. Look at the chemistry of the stainless. What elements are in it that aren't in carbon steel?

Stainless Steel contains as a minimum of 5% of Chromium. this element forms superficial oxides that prevent and lower the corrosion rate.
