we are using glue for our hot melt tank for paper application, capacity of tank is 300l/hr and temp is @170degree, what will hapeen if we kept tank on[HEATER ON]for 5-6 days wihout application.[NOT USED FOR SPRAYING ON PAPER]
Maybe it's how he feels why else would one want to waste electricity for 5 to 6 days on something your not using. Let alone the the damage he maybe doing to the adhesive. Then come here and ask us.

If interested in heater options for the adhesive tank, variablity in temperature when in non-use mode, HotWatt cartridge heaters are a good fit. If you need any data on the heaters, advise.
Most likely there should not be much change since it is a hot melt adhesive. It means it is a thermoplastic material and melts upon heating and solidifies on cooling. However some of the additives such as thixotropic agents, antioxidants and antiozonants might decompose on prolonged heating --You might want to request from the manufacturer --Temperature VS Viscosity charts to see at what temperature it has the lowest viscosity (thinning). Hope it helps
