How long a 1000w bulb will glow from a 200Amp battery? Is there any formula to culculate the time. Will there be any effect on time if I use a 1000w motor instead of bulb
Caught you Del.. Filament resistance will of cource decrease but no power increase there: V decreases, I also decreases but at a much lower rate because of the filament decreasing temp.

Life is complex. It has a real part and an imaginary part.
This does look like a homework question, especially since a 1000W bulb and 200AH battery (12V standard or 2V solar) is not the sort of thing you find around the house.
Why don't teachers teach more practical examples, this scales so easily to 12V 100W bulb, 12V 20AH battery + ohms law = answer.
Hang on hasn't this exact same question been asked atleast once (possibly twice) before on CR4.
Nope, your imaginationing it.... cause they used different figures last time..
I've actually started to see a pattern in these H\W questions.
At the same time each semester (about every 6months) there are a flurry of H\W questions...they thin out as you get to the next mid-year assessment and then starts again at the next intake...
Just a thought..

Sapper

If you look at previous threads on CR4 you can sometimes find the exact same questions. There was also one or two questions recently that looked like they came from two different students taking the same class in the same semester.
Still the old adage "have you checked the manual" translates well to the classroom "have you checked the back of your text book" (or at the very least paid attention in class).
