Sub:-TIRUMALA HILLS – LIFT PROJECT
I am submitting herewith a Lift Project, which can be undertaken at Tirumala Hills.
During recent Brahmostavams of 10 days A P S R T C was conducted 30,000 trips to & fro Tirumala to Tirupati. @ 5 Km mileage per one liter diesel, it has consumed 3, 00,000 liters of Diesel in that 25 Km distance in 10 days. What will be extent of pollution, and its contribution to green house effect?
There is Supreme Court Stay on rope way on Tirumala Hills. But this project provides "GARUDA VAHANAM" to pilgrims. Not 'vihara yatra.'
So this project may not be objectionable. We will take 'kvyet' from Courts and start this project. Keeping in view of Pollution control, power generation, saving of petroleum products for future generations,
Please consider this project and help me by extending your help & guidance in execution.

Thank you very much for your mail. I am quite impressed with your innovative idea and I will surely keep in touch with you. Let me briefly tell you that the present project will be proposed under PPP model. Typically Railways will not put in any money and only the concessionnaire or the developer who is roped in will design, build, finance, operate the entire assets. Eventhough, Railways is the main stakeholder along with TTD and State govt, the concessionnaire has a lot of say and flexibility in the development of World Class Station.
We will definitely put forward your idea at the right time.

Without disturbing any thing on Tirumala Hills, still we can opt for this Lift Project.
The present SRIVARI METTU Pedestrain way can be used. First floor for up going
bus Trolleys and second floor for down coming trolley buses can be constructed. Pilgrims going through the SRIVARI METTU Pedestrain way can not even see what is happening on the top . Total structure will be camouflaged.
