Frequency/voltage connverter

10/17/2009 5:04 AM

Please suggest the best way to convert 230/60HZ 3phase to 415/50HZ three Phase?

We are shifting our plant to saudi arabia, the Load is 3MWatts.

So you have 3MW of load that is running at 230V 3 phase right now, and you want to take that to Suadi Arabia where they have 415V 3 phase, correct?

If so, buy a generator, it will cost you less in the long run.

No, My plant is running at 415/3Phase 50HZ, But it is a 2 Year project and it is finsished now. Now the plant is permanently shifting to saudi.

we can use generator as temperory solution, to utilize the Grid power supply, I need best frequency converter.

Thanks for your suggestion

This is a common question on CR4.

Check your loads and see if they will work on 50Hz, if they will then buy a step-up transformer. If you really need 60Hz, buy a generator. If price is a concern, buy a generator for the 60Hz loads and a step-up transformer for the 50Hz loads.
