Hmmm, maybe it's because we don't understand what you mean by 'speed breaker' ?
Are you talking about generating high voltages like in an old fashioned ignition coil & contact breaker circuit?

This is generally called an induction coil see this link
If that not what you mean, then I'm afraid I have no idea!

Do you mean regenerative braking?

Since you are mechanical engineering student, it should be easy for you to calculate the energy ( in Joules ) you could theoretically extract from vehicles passing over the speed bumps.

When you have this energy calculation, use the following to ESTIMATE the electrical energy you might be able to capture in "kW-hr" (kilowatt-hours)...

Joules * (0.8)/ (1000*60*60) = electrical energy in kW-hr

I think you will find that this not a cost effective way to generate electricity. However, please make the effort to go through the calculations as this will be a good learning experience regardless of the result!

dear sanjiv you can generate electricity if you arrange instrument that can vibrate speedly magnet .if magnet vibrate speedly then by keeping coil near it.EMF is induced in coil & your problem is solved.
