10/30/2009 1:48 PM

As per our GLASS POLICY in HACCP we cant use glass as a mirror or a reflective material.

So please suggest me material for mirror or reflection material.

Hello, polished metal, chrome plated metal/plastic, mylar film come to mind.

It all depends on the environment, location, and what you want to reflect and the accuracy needed.

There is also camera/video monitoring as an option.

A little more info about the use, we could maybe give a a better answer.

Vacuum metalising of Acrylic or Polycarbonte sheet makes very good mirror. I have been trying this for solar cooker. Here, in Mumbai, they charge Rs. 15 per square foot(Approx. Rs.45 for one USdollar) for vacuum metalising. Aluminium of about 4 microns is coated in the process. You can select any thickness sheets starting from 125 microns for Polycarbonate.

I wanted thinner sheet to reduce cost, but it seems thinner polycarbonate is not available, while polyster is available of 50 microns. The "metalised polyester" is used for food packaging and is much cheaper but may not be acceptable as "mirror".

The Polycarbonate gives the best result and has very good impact resistance. So I would suggest this for any normal "mirror" application on shopfloor in an industry.

sandeep lokhande - do you have the decency to reply to any of the questions, or respond to any of the suggestions?

If not, don't bother asking again - we're all wasting our time, and I (for one) will not bother either.

It appears that only around 30 hours has passed since Mr. Lokhande first asked his question. Cut the guy some slack please. All of us don't sit in front of our computers constantly just waiting to respond instantly to impatient trolls. Maybe he is away from his computer or otherwise unavailable. It is just possible that the man has a LIFE.

Conference Room 4.

OK, you go into the conference room, ask a question, and run away. "I'll be back in a day or two - 'bye!".

Wouldn't it be more normal to hang around for a few minutes to see whether anyone had any ideas - or maybe follow-up questions? Or should CR4 be renamed BB4 (bill-board 4), where it's a bit more the norm to pin up a question and come back a few days later to check for replies?

Additionally, Mr. Lokhande has a history of asking questions and not acknowledging replies.

Hi John,

I have noticed many persons simply asking questions and disappearing. They dont reply to querries raised by the persons trying to help solving the problem. This is normally happening here.
