Every time I start the computer some unwanted programmes run and hence it take lot of time to complete the start up. How can i remove those programmes from the start up.
Click OK. A window comes up with tabs across the top.
Under General, you can choose from different startup types, but under Startup you can be more selective and remove individual programs from your startup list. Most of them have placed themselves there to annoy.. er I mean to help you, by loading themselves up every time you turn the damn computer on.
You might get some warnings about changing your startup... I have never had any problems caused by just unclicking anything I didn't like the look of (lots of updaters etc end up in there so they can go online and remind you to upgrade - that sort of thing).
If you find things go wrong after removing items, you can go back and turn them on again.
That's my way of dealing with this problem... there may be others.
