Testing of windings HV AC MOTORS up to 11KV

Dear Sir

High volatge testing of windings of motors up to 11 KV with AC HIGH VOLTAGE KIT or DC HIGH VOLATGE KIT is preferable and what is acceptable internationally

The manufacturer should be supplying a certificate of test with the equipment upon despatch from its works.

Standards accept both AC as well as DC for HV Testing of Motors. Only the test voltages will differ. Normally, the AC test voltage is: 125 to 150% of the rated voltage of the machine (winding under test) and the DC test voltge is: 1.7 times the AC Test Voltage.
