It's about my major and what is it like to be an Mechanical Engineer.

Your respone should be, ask me that in 5 years.

as far as the other questions, you better do your own homework, they are not asking us, they are asking YOU.

Engineering, be it electrical, civil, structural etc.... can be paralleled to marriage and having a child.

First you need to find the right one...then it's the commitment. anyone can do it, but can they be successful at it? Then comes the child (project) the conception is a lot of fun, but will it work? The time from conception to birth might be a week to fifteen years. (CERN is a good example.) Then there are all the bumps on the road. Government, Doctors, Lawyers and accountants, get involved with your little project. Doctors examine and immunize. Government, must go to school. Lawyers, your child must behave. Then there are the accountants...no need to say more.

The child (project) starts to mature. Will this work better if I did this or this, what will be the end result? How far should I intervene, to get the result that was the initial intent? Doctor, Lawyer, Designer......accountant?

Commissioning phase (graduation) congratulations your stamp (seed) has produced something. Whether or not your satisfied with the result, has to be determined from where you set the bar.

The original designer of the Twin Towers kicked himself for years because he thought he was a failure. The investigation showed that the design was right for a normal fire, but not one that reached 2700 C, as was the case. He then turned around and help design the worlds tallest and safest structure in the world, in Asia.

I have always liked being a little left when it came to English classes, especially when they start to say that "Shake a long sharp stick" was the best that ever was.

Go hard or go home! Cheers
