Test Rig for Aviation Turbine Fuelling Facility

01/12/2007 12:46 AM

We are in the process of doing piping engineering work for aviation turbine fuel storage tank and fuelling facilities for an upcoming international airport. It is proposed to have fabricated test rig for these facilities prior to fuelling the air craft.I would like to know basic eqipment needed and ,(the piping and instrumentation,if any), the dimensions of the rig considering a piping connection of 6 inch NB and1 !50 # rating flange. and who are the suppliers for such an item as package.

thanks

First of all if you are in the process like you've explained then you should be knowing your job very well. These are not like filling buckets with your water hose. Surprising you are going about asking dimensions of rigs and instrumentations involved.

Anyway, please download Brooks Instruments catalogs.

I once handled long time back Brooks Instruments and was involved in their Flow Meters and fueling system for aircraft refueling.

Trust you contact them & Emerson for this job is highly Volatile & hazardous engineering application.

Contact Lockwood,Andrews and Newnam, Inc, Houston, TX. who did the jet aircraft refueling system at the Houston Intercontintal Airport. This system includes the receiving and proving station, tank farm containing segregated fuel, 2 stage filters and water disposal system, vertical turbine barrel pumps, piping manifolds, distribution lines circling the flight stations, with individual valve pits with quick disconnect valves, control station for automatic pipe line pressurization and pump sequencing.........
