Are you "Winding us up?"

You will have to give US the details!

What size drum?

How much cable?

How fast?

What kind of cable?

What type? Electrical? Hoist?

Etc. Etc.

Drum Size:

Dia of cable drum (min.) = 500 mm

Width of cable drum = 600 mm

Cable details:

Length = 150 mtrs.

4 core, EPR cable,10 sqmm

Overall Dia of Cable = 30 mm

Minimum Bending radius = 8 D

cable has to reel and unreel within 5 minutes

i.e. cable drum speed = 16 rpm

Electrical cable

it's all depend on your bearing friction brother. What kind of bearing you used to support the drum. search for rolling friction. normally 10% of total weight(cable + drum) for roller bearing is enough. but you need to cater the inertia for the drum when stopping/brake also. get what i mean.

Is the product copper, steel or alluminum? If steel, what is the carbon content? What is the empty diameter of the spool? Is this take-up following a strander or is it taking up from another spool? Is the payoff static or dynamic? Is the tension controlled by a dancer? What is the amount of tension you will be trying to maintain for your package?
