Cathodic Protection Problem

i have a problem in our cathodic protection system that it draw 32A , maximan designed current 30A , this panel feed three tanks , when we measure the current , we note that the positive branch not equal to negative.

dear friend ,

you are talking about ICCP, i also saw CP system , if it draw more current then adjust voltag knob which is provided on ICCP control pannel, if you reduce the voltage , it will reduce the current. as per design you have to maintain hull refrence electrode potential as given by designer, in my ICCP system i used to maintain hull potaintial 0.22v to maintain this voltage i generally adjust the voltage knob and made hull referance electrode potential 0.22 v for that my system draw 8v & 29A current.

why the positive branch is not equal to negative branch for each tank & the total positive current is equal to total negative current.
