What's The Standard Brand of Home Elevators?

11/30/2009 6:52 PM

Otis is the Standard for Elevators across the board.

For the home they are not apparently much concerned.

If you were building a 3 to 5 story house that was to incorporate an elevator, what Brand would you buy?

P.S. I've spent about 5 hours on this and Inclinator Lx seems competitive in the arena of home elevators. I am posting in commercial space with this question because it is job related.

3 days and no activity? Well, I'll talk to you.

Are you, indeed, specifying a manufacturer no substitution? If you have that luxury, and Otis has the whistles and bells you desire (as well as authorized service nearby), by all means specify them no sub. I agree, they are usually the first name that comes up in any elevator discussion.

ThyssenKrup and Schindler both have a presence here in Fargo, ND, as does Otis.

Deja Vu... I spoke to Otis Elevator here in town about 3 minutes ago, about some cylinders for override function.
