Testing Multimode Fiber Optic Cables

Can we use single mode OTDR for testing the multimode fiberoptic cable?

hi CAT..,

I will add to yours. If only one test set can test both kind of cables..?...also chromatic disperssion testing why they are doing what's the benefit from it???

Yes friend , but you will not get good result ( eg. Accuracate length , event losses etc ), for measuryng these fiber diffrent OTDR is avilable in market Eg. YOKOGAWA make AQ7260/65 is Singal mode OTDR but AQ7260/69 is for multimode )
