If you are using a Windows machine, the Ctrl-PrtScr keys on your keyboard will save a bitmap of the entire screen to the clipboard. Alt-PrtScr will do the same, but only captures the active window.

If the document is multiple pages long you need to do the above procedure for each page.

The bitmap can be translated to JPEG by opening the bitmap in any paint or graphics program (try just double clicking it first) and crop, edit, and save as a JPEG file.

If it is a Mac you can use the utility called Grab located in the Applications/Utilities folder and save the resulting file (it will be a TIFF format). Double click the resulting file and save it as JPEG.

Hi Hero,

i have tried it but the prt sc on my key board is fn key. fn-prtsc only copy the screen but would have to be pasted on yet another document. In essence, I could not get it on the bitmap. Pls explain further.

Adobe you can do it adobe by changing the file format threw a number of steps. I think the basic will do it, you'll have to find that out.

It has a trial period.

I think our guest has covered the answer but I thought I would mention a programme called CaptureWiz. This allows you to copy & paste like using PrtScr but you can window any area, even works for images that have copying blocked. In addition you can capture any video on screen, again by windowing any area. In video capture mode you can chose to include your cursor in the video. The programme will save the video capture in many formats. You can also record audio streams.

You are correct. There are lot of free programms do much more than capturing any full-screen, active-window manually or automatically [can capture Screen-savers or pps like slide-shows, region-area, save in many of the common formats.

Some of which are:

IrfanView, the best & most popular on web, I am using it like a professinal image manager, pklayer for several audio formats

And other I am using is Hoversnap.

lot more are on the web. look for them.

Also, if you have CorelDraw, it has an inbuilt screen area capture tool called Corel Capture.

Apart from the offers by other friends,

Irfanview is a very versatile free program, .

It has a capture screen option.

Since you have all ready copied the picture from the .docx file, open it up in a preview or picture editing program and use the "save as" function to make the conversion.

On my machine the program is called Preview.

If you have not yet captured it from the .docx, try clicking on the picture then hold and drag over on to your desktop. After that you should be able to use the other programs to make the conversions.
