Super Critical Fluid Extraction for Rose Oil

hi,

can anybody tell me the over all process of super critical extractor using co2 for rose oil production??

also is this process vaible for rose oil in terms of cost??

rose oil is an oil, and dissolves in solvents. To avoid the use of a solvent, they often use CO2 compressed to above its critical pressure. It is then a fluid that is oil miscible and will extract various oils from flowers etc.

Once the extraction is finished, the CO2 is allowed to evaporate into the air, leaving untainted rose oil.
