What is the Best Choice for CAD/CAM Software?

01/16/2007 9:04 AM

I am shopping for a new CNC plasma cutting table, and wondered what software is best for converting DWG, DXF files to the machine and includes automatic nesting of customer custom parts on our stock steel plates. It is also very important to us to keep records of cut remnants and have the software utilize these for cutting.

So far Fastcam, and MTC have been mentioned as being able to perform these tasks.

Can anyone suggest which is better if if there is another proven choice?

Give these guys a call - I saw them at a trade show and was very impressed with the product given the price. (Note: The price is flexible - push back to get an even better deal, & demo is first)

Since you're in Ontario someplace try calling In-House Solutions, they sell Mastercam 519-658-1471.
