Although I am not familiar with too many automotive engines or, for that matter, carburation...............it could be that the carby is flooding.

I know some carbys used to have a main inlet valve to the cardy that was controlled by the float........accessible by way of the fitting that the fuel inlet pipe is connected to on the carby itself (it could be a hexagonal brass fitting that the fuel inlet line screws into)..........if this valve is faulty (it may be worn) the carby will flood.

Another fault that may cause this problem is a faulty float.........it could have a hole in it.

As I said automotive engines are not really my cup of tea, but I hope this may assist you in your trouble shooting. I am only doing this from memory............many years ago I had a similar problem.

Hang on because the 190E is not carbruetted, it's fuel injected. That "E" is for einspritzung, German for fuel injection. I've got one of those in pieces in the barn right now....

How you have a Solex carb on there I don't know but it sounds like the accelerator linkage is not working properly. Or, if it is a carb, the float bowl is jammed. Do you have a picture of the thing?

Hi Mobi and ca1ic0cat

Its a pleasure meeting you guys and I very much appreciate your advice, however the car is OK. What do I do, I drain all the transmission oil in the carburator, dismantle the acceleration piston, clean diaphram clean piston and straighten the piston pin, then coupling up, remove and clean the air jet. fit carburator to position start its work. Thats all I did Its still working alright

Regards

Yeah, bent pin. That makes sense. Glad you got it running.

Hi aish,

Haveyouthoughtaboutusingauser-namethatotherscanrecallandtype?

I have written the first line using the same 'rules' as you used when dreaming up your user-name.

I know you know it but it is a real pain to try and copy type when it is not possible to copy and paste.

Just a suggestion, for one of the longest names here.

You need to consider other as you decide on a name, OK.

Good luck

Hi

Thanks for your concern, but I am a person who does not like nick names or to cut name short, its strongly against my wish which brings me to a proverb that says "ONES MANS MEATS IS ANOTHER MANS POISON"

Hi aisha,

Forgive me I was mostly joking, OK?

I think you may find your name shortened by necessity, with so many post sent and, in my case poor eyesight, it is just to much like hard work to type some names out in full especially when I cannot see it! Sorry.

Have a wonderful holiday.

Good luck
