Is this a height or elevation measurement (level) in a tank or vessel?

Or are you asking for something to measure the concentration in percentage or ppm (level) of mercaptan in, for instance, methane?

It depends upon the temperature and pressure of the vessel, and also the hazardous area zoning, which need to be detailed before a realistic response can be given to the question.
