Representative Quality Indicator (RQI)

Representative quality indicator = laboratory prepared standard that can be used as a tool to compare the actual results to the desired result. Example would be a visual comparator . . . for surface finish where a specific profile is desired during production . . . the visual comparator is laid up on the surface to be examined and then compared to a range of possible surfaces. A color comparator for chemical analysis is a similar process.
