	I am looking for something like a laser surface profiler that could profile the inside wall of an approximately 40 mm bore. Basically I want to see a line showing the relative shape of the bore wall along part of the length of the bore. If it was an outside profile it would be very easy, but wondering if anyone knows of any products/devices that would fit down the bore or somehow allow the internal inspection? 	It depends on how deep you want to measure.... if its only a few 100 mm then most profile instruments will do an internal measure... John. __________________ A little knowledge is a dangerous thing - Googling is far worse!

	John- Are the profile instruments you mention mechanical? I'm looking for something that can do a comprehensive scan if I turn the bore or the device and feed the results to a computer. Thank you, Mike
