I'm looking forward to The Science of Lance Armstrong tonight on Discovery Science. The show, which premieres tonight at 8PM EST, will cover the high tech cycling gear used by Armstrong, as well as the training that has helped Lance to develop his amazing physiology.
Some of the specifics to be covered include "Did you know that by raising only his thumb while riding at full speed, Lance adds 20 grams of drag? Or that his lungs have more than double the oxygen capacity of the average man and his heart is one-third larger? He even saves a full minute-and-a-half over a 200km stage of the Tour due to the aerodynamics of his Trek Madone bicycle."
