12/28/2009 5:51 PM

Where can I find a site that illustrates a 10 - 20 mw HFO (Heavy Fuel Oil) Power plant?

Thanks Siswanto. One I'm looking to look at a layout of would be on-site, generating 10 to 20 mw, showing the Generating equipment with the Power lines and poles, switchgear, tanks etc.

Hello there, doycon. Nice to see you again.

First, the first paragraph of the link I will give you:

"Timor-Leste will pay nearly $400 million to a Chinese company to build three electric power generating stations using heavy fuel oil (residual) and a nationwide high voltage distribution system. The power plants are based on old engines and generators which have been used in China for more than two decades. This is highly-polluting, difficult-to-manage technology which most countries are moving away from or have already stopped using. It creates acid rain, water pollution, toxic solid waste, particulate air pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to environmental and reliability concerns about this project, information has been difficult to obtain and rumors abound about irregularities in the contracting, budgeting and other processes."

This is an ongoing HFO power generation project, with information here:

Information is understandably vague, but there may be something of value to you.

Solar power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaics (PV), or indirectly using concentrated solar power (CSP). Commercial CSP plants were first developed in the 1980s, and the 354 MW SEGS CSP installation is the largest solar power plant in the world and is located in the Mojave Desert of California. The 80 MW Sarnia Photovoltaic Power Plant in Canada, is the world's largest photovoltaic plant. Experimental approaches to solar power include concentrated photovoltaics systems, thermovoltaic devices, and space-based solar power.

Solar power is an intermittent energy source, meaning that solar power is not available at all times, and is normally supplemented by storage or another energy source, for example with wind power and hydropower.

HFO gen set is so suitable to be installed in the area where power is scarce very much or the factory as standby power because ofits advantages, for example the short construction time and the low electric power cost.

We can contract the HFO power station project which total power capacity range from 1 to 150 MW and provide technology directionafter sale based upon couples up technicians and managers who have so much experience of HFO power station operation in our company(besides installing Ningdong generator sets, we can install other famous brand gen sets like MAN, SULZER, NIGATTA, etc in light of customers'requirments).
