See Design is nota easy field.Logics varies for different projects. you have to go through the project requirement. according to it you have to design.

What you asked about VFD...... VFD can be programmed in itself and you can conncet to AI of VFD to AI of DDC controller.

by getting vocational trainings nobody can be a designer.as you must have practical knowledge.

PID logic ....that is also upto a designer where you can apply pid logic.

for exmaple- PID logic you may apply in temp control, flow control etc.

sequential control....that is also..depends on application. suppose you have many outputs interlocked with conditions and inputs in that case you can use sequential control.

Nobody can teach you how to design, that you have to develop by experience.
