Toughened vs. Plain Glass for Kitchen Gasthub

01/04/2010 1:45 AM

Hallo Friend,

Happy New year.

We plan to use toughned glass for the domestic glass top application. The problem is we can't get the part aonsistant quality since it has lengthwise radius bent of R120mm. The size is 600x400x12mm. I just want to know about the possiblity to bent / cut after toughning of glass?

It is possible to cut tempered glass but not bend. Cutting it is a slow process that is why most glass is cut before tempering. It must be heated to bend it. Which should be done during or before the tempering process.
