Reduced production at Ford and General Motors may lead Lear Corporation, the world's largest producer of automotive seats, to eliminate up to to 7,700 jobs. Is this just a bump in the road for automotive engineers, or a sign of trouble ahead?

I think the GM employee discount and the fact they are laying off so many people is the warning that bumpy roads lie ahead.
