Wanted: Twin Wire Resistance Wave Gauge

01/04/2010 9:10 PM

where can i purchase some "twin wire resistance wave gauge" with 200ms or faster data logging capacity for wave flume of 0.3m depth?

[i do not have enough expertise in electronics to design one myself although it seems fairly simple. its two wires that measure the instant height of a water wave by the change in resistance of the wires as the water moves up and down]

I think I've seen this question posted before. I don't think I've heard of the measurement you describe, but if you change the word "resistance" to "impedance", then a twin wire gauge sounds feasible. If that's the case, you would be looking for an RF engineer.
