Renewable Energy

01/08/2010 5:25 AM

Can we renew our energy, for example, the inverter needs DC voltage in order to convert to AC voltage. The question is can we recycle our energy to produce a reliable power supply system that we can be used for domestic and Industrial applications for both DC and AC voltages.

If possible then we can develop power generation and supply from Green Technology, eg;- Solar, Wind Mills.

This would lead to scrap Coal power generation

We already do scrap coal power generation here in Pennsylvania. We have lots of piles of really low grade coal left over from either strip mining or from the processing. We have several plants that have been built to burn this stuff. The plants have a guaranteed price "floor" so that they don't lose money using this uneconomical fuel. The flyash is mixed with limestone to neutralize the acidity and the whole mess is then taken to abandoned strip mine sites to be used in reclamation.

Under conservation of energy you could say all energy is recycled.

Recycle energy is that like a nuclear power plant on off peak hour pumping water into a reservoir? So during peak hours we use the water for a hydro-electric plant. Already being done.

As far as the green technology the wind is not reliable and solar with today's technology is inefficient. Both of these wind, solar and tidal are being looked as alternatives. As of yet i do not think that they are cost effective in supplying power to all of the general public.

So I don't look for the coal power plants being scraped too soon.
