Use wire and a sound education in electricity. Oh, it may also be useful to refer to your local building codes.

Can you please provide me with following data:

Does an earthing already exists for your installation. What is the present value of the earthing. Are the earthing of all the equipments connected together with building earthing and then earthed.

This type of question always bothers me. This is an anonymous discussion board that can and often does provide useful information on a variety of different engineering topics. But while some of us have formal training and authority in our individual discipline, we do not dispense any information with authority.

Now what do I mean by this bold statement. If I told you that grounding of a new hospital's surgery rooms and X-ray rooms can be done with one, 2.5 meters long copper clad steel rod driven not less than 2 meters into the soil. The connecting wiring must be CAD welded to the rod and must be all a cross sectional area no less than 20 square mm, you might believe me. But this statement is no more valid than me telling you to put the ground wire in a Wedgwood urn buried in the soil. Don't forget to piss into the urn to get the electrolytes needed.

You must follow your local building code standards. You need somebody with formal training and authority in understanding the building code and how to apply this for your construction site. We are not this hired individual or firm. You building a hospital for Christ's sake! People's lives will rely on your work and that it was done correctly.

If you have no local standards then you can follow one of the international standards, like the National Electrical Code (NEC) or others that exist. But somebody who knows what the standard means will have to apply the myriad of possible scenarios found in the reference to your situation.

Now some may wonder why I'm coming down so heavy on you. Well you claim in your fractured text speak, that you are building one of the most critical buildings one can build. (I was willing to ignore the language barrier.) You admit that you and your construction firm already made a mistake in building this hospital. Lastly you've provided us almost no useful information to help you understand what error you made or how to correct it. In short, you've presented us nothing but incompetence.

Hire a professional!

This is not a subject left to guessing and Internet forums. Errors in this area could kill people. Please do the following...

1) Check the regulations where you live and see which codes and standards are in effect.

2) Once having done so, engage the services of a competent electrical design firm to design the system for you.

If no codes and standards are in effect where you live. May I suggest you investigate Section 24 of the Canadian Electrical Code and the CAN/CSA_Z32 "Essential Electrical Systems in Health Care Facilities" for guidance.

I have performed code compliance audits and full electrical inspections on several health care facilities at every stage of construction and let me assure you, this is a complicated subject and best left to those capable of tackling the task.

I mean no disrespect or arrogance...
