Gear calculations

01/17/2010 6:57 AM

Good afternoon, I do my gear calculations partly with Mitcalc, www.mitcalc.com . In the material section you have to fill in the materials you use for your project. In my case I need data for aluminium, bronze and stainless steel and specifically the SHLIM and the SFLIM. Does anyone know a publication, book or website where I can find these data? Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Kind regards,

Willem van Beers

hello sir

I am a final year mechanical engg student from India. I am also working on manual gear box design for a light pickup truck.I have designed the gears based on resistance faced by the vehicle, later calculated the other gear ratios oh 2nd, 3rd gear, 4th gear as direct drive. I also checked the gears for their beam stregth in staic and dynamic loading and for their wear load.

I have also modelled the whole gear in Catia V5 R10.

I just checked this new software tool, I could understand it completly. Could u just guide me how to use it properly.

Your sincerly

uma shankar
