Vectran Fiber Sample

Does anyone have a small sample of Vectran fibers that you would be willing to drop in an envelope and post to me? I want to compare it to an aramid fiber I am developing for a medical application. I cant get a sample from Kuraray as they will not supply fiber to medical device applications like mine.

I hope I can return the compliment. I have some expertise in the design of medical devices.

This sounds like a job for (sound the trumpets) Search GlobalSpec. Excellent! I work at an institution that conducts quite a bit of research, I am also a subscriber to GlobalSpec. I am often reluctant to click on the ads, as it is sure to generate a call from an eager sales rep,,, I don't have the time to talk to most of these people.

I had samples of a number of Vectran fibers when we were doing R&D for armor protection. I'll look and see if I still have samples. If so, send me an address and I'll send you some.

Search ebay. People sell small quantities there at very nominal costs. 360117040779 is for 100 feet of 1500 denier thread for $5.00.
